CLARIFICATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

As Akasya Çocuk Dünyası A.Ş. (“KidZania”), our primary principles, include particularly the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the protection of privacy regarding private life, the provision and protection of information security, and respect for ethical values. As KidZania, we are a Data Controller within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“PDPL”). In order to fulfill the disclosure obligation of our company arising from Article 10 of the PDPL, we submit the following explanations regarding the processing and protection of your personal data for your information and approval.

Purpose of Processing and Transferring Personal Data

Our company collects your and your child's personal data, as well as information and documents containing your personal data categories below, within the scope of the PDPL and other relevant legislation, and stores and processes the same in printed and/or wet signed or electronic media, for the purposes of providing services and meeting your requests regarding the services we offer, communicating with you, providing the necessary communication for reservation and registration, performing activities and events in the park, ticket sales, product sales, digital video content sales, financial and accounting transactions (invoicing, issuing expense slips for shopping in the parking lot, etc.), ensuring and maintaining security in the park, making company promotions through various channels (social media, press releases, etc.), creating a seasonal card, enabling you to benefit from special programs such as the loyalty program (B-KidZanian), carrying out activities in cooperation with schools, sharing offers when necessary, providing feedback on campaigns we run on social media, carrying out the necessary process to answer your questions and requests and resolving your complaints, and directing your requests to the right place within the company, organization of processes carried out within the framework of social responsibility projects, fulfillment of our contractual, commercial and legal commitments, and management of market researches with brand or customer satisfaction.

In addition, based on your approval, you may be contacted for marketing purposes. Accordingly, your personal data may be processed for the purposes of being responsible for search engine optimization and search engine ads in the digital environment, making the relevant optimization and preparing and publishing advertising models in advertising channels, sending you materials such as news and bulletins about KidZania events, conducting authorized marketing activities, planning and carrying out marketing campaigns and company promotional activities.

• Finance (payment information)
• Other information (information on the person to be contacted in an emergency, such as the contact details of the data subject and his/her relatives)

Your and your child’s personal data may be shared with media planning, purchasing, PR agencies and media institutions that we work with within the scope of company promotion and marketing activities, companies from which we receive services such as digital marketing platform services, courier companies, etc., official authorities or auditors when required by our legal obligations, lawyers and consultants when our rights and interests need to be protected, the companies that we receive services such as information technology support and security services within the framework of the above-mentioned purposes, Akkök Holding and Akkök Holding group companies, under which KidZania operates in Turkey, and KidZania S.A.P.I. de C.V, based in Mexico, of which we are the licensee, by ensuring your safety and taking the necessary precautions by our Company.

Personal Data Collection Method and Legal Reason

Personal data is collected, used, recorded, stored and processed within the framework of the principle of proportionality, in connection with and limited to the legitimate purpose clearly stated above, by giving verbal and written information to the personal data subjects in a clear and understandable manner by our Company.  Your personal data is processed within the scope of the following legal reasons as per Article 5/2 of the PDPL:

1. a) When it is compulsory for the protection of the life or physical integrity of the person or another person, who is unable to express their consent due to actual impossibility or whose consent is not legally valid.

2. a) When it is necessary to process the personal data of the parties to the contract, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract.

3. c) When it is mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation.

ç) When it has been made public by the person concerned.

Pursuant to article 11 of the PDPL, you have the right to obtain information about your personal data by applying to KidZania.
